There are some places in the world so special that we want to preserve them for future generations. In Slovenia, one of these places is Triglav National Park. More than two thousand people live within its boundaries, and many more visit. As the managing authority, our main communication goal is to help people understand the importance of preserving the country’s only national park. The highest level of respect for nature, cultural landscapes, and residents—who are the bearers of a rich cultural heritage—is observed when people can experience or emotionally connect with the uniqueness of the area or with the challenges we face in managing it.

If every euro spent on lengthy, "wooden" social media posts by Slovenian politicians yielded proportional communication value, we'd have the most informed electorate in Europe. But we don't.

Today, communication happens constantly and everywhere – through screens, in meetings, between the lines, and, ultimately, even through silence. It’s becoming increasingly clear that the way organizations communicate should no longer be considered a “soft” topic. It’s a business issue. And it’s a strategic one.

How can communicators build strategic credibility in practice?

This past weekend, the Ski Jumping World Cup season ended spectacularly in Planica—with two Slovenian victories, a small crystal globe in ski flying, and a world record brought back under the Ponce mountains by the incredible Domen Prevc. Before that, his sister, Nika Prevc, secured her second consecutive overall World Cup title, which was merely the cherry on top of an extraordinary season.

Monitoring social media is not just a trend but a crucial part of modern communication strategies. Why is it important, how does it impact an organization's reputation, and what opportunities does it offer?

Local communities are vibrant, dynamic entities where different interests, needs, and expectations intersect. A municipal decision that seems logical and beneficial in an office may be met with resistance, doubt, or even anger from residents in the field. Is the problem in the decision itself? Often, no. The issue lies in how it was communicated.

Relationships are key to our everyday lives and success, as we live in a world where individuals are heavily dependent on one another. We live in a society where individuals are highly reliant on one another. One cannot survive in the world as we know it without the other.

How many times have communicators heard that leadership doesn't include them in strategic processes, that they are informed too late, and that they only pick up breadcrumbs of information, with which it’s difficult to create effective communication?
